Bodice Front Style 36 (BFOS-21)


The bodice of this garment has an Empire Line.  There is a styleline that runs under the bust, creating two pattern pieces.  The lower section is the midriff.

This is the same as Style 25, except it has gathers instead of darts.

To create this style, follow along all the steps in Style 25 but use gathers instead of darts.  See image below.

Example: Outcome

Figure 1 shows Style 25 on the left and Style 36 on the right.

Note: The actual pattern would need seam allowance or cutting instructions added; this has not been done here we are just covering the theory of manipulating darts.
