Bodice Front Style 38

The bodice of this garment has three pleats in the waist. This style is the same as Style 32, except the three darts in Style 32 have been converted to pleats. The step-by-step directions are therefore the same as for Style 32, but in the final step you mark pleats instead of darts.

Example: Outcome

Figure 1 shows Style 32 on the left, and the darts converted to pleats in Style 38 on the right.

Note: The actual pattern would need seam allowance or cutting instructions added; this has not been done here we are just covering the theory of manipulating darts.
